Personal Information

Family Roots & Related Branches, or Roots & Branches for short, saves personal data, such as names, phone numbers, postal addresses and e-mail addresses, provided in connection with an inquiry or an order, in order to fulfill its commitments to the client.

Roots & Branches also saves e-mail conversations in order to fulfill its commitments to the client.

Roots & Branches further saves invoices for accounting purposes. The invoices are shared with Tellestam Redovisning AB, which is Roots & Branches' accountant. Invoices are processed through PayPal, in which system the invoices are saved for accounting purposes.

If a client orders Roots & Branches to search for and contact a living relative, a simple chart is created of how the client and the relative are related. The client and the relative each receive a copy of the chart. Roots & Branches saves the original chart, in case the client or relative would order further genealogical research.

The saved personal data will never be disclosed to a third party outside of those mentioned, unless required by law or other regulation. You are entitled to request a copy of the information saved about you once a year. This request must be in writing and sent by regular mail or e-mail to Roots & Branches.
